In 1954 Late freedom fighter Hon. Sikota Wina was arrested when he, his brother Arthur Wina, buddy Wesley Nyirenda and others, after well wearing fits, intentionally went to one of many eating places reserved for whites.
Mr Wina was but once more arrested on March 11, 1959 in a normal spherical-up of “suspected subversives”.
This adopted rumours that the Nyasaland African Congress was about to launch a ‘murder plot’ towards white Europeans.
This resulted within the federal authorities declaring a state of emergency, resulting in the ban of the Zambian African National Congress (ZANC) and Northern Rhodesian African National Congress (NRANC), and in addition jailing its leaders https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
